Labor Day Celebrations!

The last weekend of summer approaches we anticipate a wind up with a wonderful weekend of friends and entertaining.

It doesn’t need a lot of prep or cooking.

Laying out the bounty of the garden (or the farm stand) can be a feast for the eyes.

Thoughtful display can bring grocery store purchases to another level.

Sometimes we hesitate to entertain because we dread the work involved. It can be as easy as selecting some delectable treats and displaying them in a pleasing manner.

Hope you enjoy Labor Day weekend!

I was just emailing a fellow blogger, and you were discussed as someone greatly missed in the blogosphere. I was hoping that you would be stopping by for the challenge. You are so right about the reluctance to entertain, and right again (and proved it here) that the food itself can do all the creative work for you.

And I don't know what those white and green pea looking things are. I don't think I've ever seen them.

Thanks for reminding me to keep it simple. I often go overboard and wear myself out before the guests arrive. It's good to see you back. Your photos and settings are always inspirational and we have missed you. Have a wonderful weekend.

The cheese and veggie spread does look very appetizing and easy to do. All my life I have heard presentation is everything. You can buy already cut up veggies, cheese, and ready made veggie dips to place in pretty serve ware. Easy peasy! You sure have the right idea Alma, don't sweat the little things.
