Seasonal Sundays # 188 - Nest

winter kitchen mantel4
This time of year brings out the nesting in all of us.

winter kitchen mantel7
Regardless of where you live, winter seems to keep us in our home longer. Most of us are not out and about.

But rather nestled into our homes.

With the abundance of the holidays over, we’re free to focus on our home. Perhaps there is a place in your home that is always arranged the same way. Now is the time to give it a fresh face.

Have you been nesting?

Those pieces you have with the stamped words are really cool, they remind me of the stamped silverware you see people making now, really lovely! Thanks for hosting! -Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com

With all the bitter temps we've been having, I have not been out walking, so yes...I have been nesting...er playing around the house!!

Love your "nesting" dishes, Alma! They are adorable.

Please pop over to the link party I'm now co-hosting on Monday nights starting at 8 ET. It's Project Inspire{d} at AnExtraordinaryDay.net. This would be a cute post to share. :) Hope to see you then.

Yes, spending lots of time at home nesting though today was out and about . More cold coming our way tomorrow, so had to take advantage of the war day.
Love your pieces with the stamped words. Stay warm and enjoy being in your beautiful home.

Have been meaning to comment on your new header with the pink and brown dishes. Reminds me of the pink and brown valentine dishes in my cupboards.

Yes, I'm nesting. Now that I'm retired, I'm able to do lots more crocheting, quilting and home-stuff! So nice to NOT have to get out when the weather is bad! Thanks for hosting!

Nesting is a wonderful thing, Alma. I'm such a homebody anyway, but I am going on a girl's getaway next week. Thanks so much for hosting.

Your crockery, with the stamped words of inspiration, is mighty cozy in itself and you have displayed it so beautifully around your home.

Okay, we don't have the diving temps that you are getting right now, but for the islanders, it is cold and damp and grey, so yes, we are nesting and doing too much nibbling, I'm afraid!

Thanks for hosting and have a happy week ahead!

You are so right, I am totally nesting. Being snow bound with repeated winter storms makes me want to keep plenty of wood, fabric and paint in my winter survival emergency kit....LOL Thanks so much for hosting a great party!

You have some great dishes! Yes, "nesting" for sure. but I feel for the folks who have had too much nesting time due to their terrible winter.

I love your nest & home dishes....so cute!

We're in AZ, so it's been odd for us to have late spring like temps. I'm sure we will miss the winters here when we back up north. ;-)

I'm afraid I'm guilty of nesting, but you've inspired me to freshen up a couple of places in my house. Love the look of your stove area and your pretty plates. Thanks for hosting.

Love your new dishes. The pic of your kitchen is lovely. I need to be nesting in my home. I have been nesting but with my laptop catching up on blog reading the last few days. We were stuck inside because we had so much ice the roads were not open. Glad for sunshine today.

Thank you for your party today.

I love that pitcher with the nest on it. What a great display shelf over your stove top, and I've always loved that tile behind your stove. Even we have snow and ice right now! Sadly, my husband takes me to work when the streets are bad. I want to stay home and nest. laurie
