Seasonal Sundays # 187–Outdoor Winter Decor

spheres04

It’s just too early for a floral wreath.

The Christmas wreath is discarded or packed away.

So, this square faux boxwood followed me home.

It’s not even close…

…to being time for anything living to occupy the urns.

spheres03

Boxwood spheres are adding a nice touch in the interim (you do see that my helper is frustrated not to be out with me).

spheres06

The acorns are under there, I know they are!

As Old Man Winter continues to blast away, how do you decorate the outside of your home?

I keep hoping we'll get a little snow if it's going to be this cold! Hope you & your helper are warm & cozy!

We are having a weekend weather reprieve. Old man winter is to return early next week. For now we are enjoying and trying not to think about next week!

I love these views of the exterior of your beautiful home, Alma.

I attempted to link, but I got a message saying I had no backlink. I double checked and I the link is working so I am not sure if you received it or not. I would have emailed you, but I don't see a contact.

Your photos are lovely.

I like your faux boxwood. The wreath looks so pretty on your door.
Thanks for hosting and happy weekend.

Thanks for hosting, Alma.
I don't decorate between Christmas and spring...no reason, other than being lazy.

Loving your winter porch! The urns with the boxwood spheres look so pretty on your patio! Thanks for hosting tonight! Happy Saturday! Hugs, Poppy

Your home is so pretty and I love the wreath and the urns. I have a little Valentine's Day wooden thingie on the door and a wooden shovel with a snowman on it with some cute saying about winter! I'd like to get two small urns but I don't know what to plant in them that would last year round in my climate.

Have a wonderful Sunday!

XO,
Jane

That face in the window is too precious! We don't have snow, but plenty of COLD! I have a wreath on my door very similar to yours, it's my January wreath! I will but the heart one on next week and hope it brings warmer weather! Thanks for the party, stay cozy,
Jenna

I love your dog at the door. It's too cold outside for me to worry about what the door looks like! Your square wreath looks so pretty. Thanks for hosting. laurie

I'm loving the wreath on your door. A wreath is all I have on mine right now. It has red roses, hearts, etc. for Valentines!

It's me again...lol! I went back to the post that I used at your party last week and copied that backlink...it worked! I don't know why the one from this week wouldn't work...just glad to be here! Hugs, Penny

The snowmen and wreath are tucked safely in the garage for a few days. Winds have been gusting up to about 35 miles per hour or better. More or less blizzard conditions for the time being. I like a red berry wreath that I found a fer years ago, it is simple just greens and berries. I have a small sled and a couple of snowmen that usually reside on the front porch for the winter. Thank you for hosting tonight, I hope you are keeping warm.

Snow here on Friday, but nothing even close to your street scene. ;-)
The faux boxwood balls in the urns are perfect for winter. Great idea!
Stay warm and cozy.

I think January, February are hard to decorate outside -- you don't really want Christmas but then you don't want something that doesn't look natural! I think what you selected is perfect!

Decorate outside? I'm not even going to go outside until it gets above freezing! *sigh* At least I have your lovely blog to look at ... very inspirational!

Your boxwood wreath is a perfect blank canvas to add some hearts for Val day and a little something for St. Pat's even though I know you don't celebrate it. Easter some eggs and bunnies...very versatile wreath!
I have red berry wreath on the front door from PB outlet with a little Val sign from CTS added. Side door is an adorable snowman head wreath.
It just stopped snowing here. We really didn't need anymore on top of the 10 in still on the ground from last week.
Have a good week. I'll be nearby tomorrow if it isn't too icy.

Love your square boxwood wreath - never seen one in that shape! Your green orbs in the urns are lovely too - even under the snow! I tried to link up a post but kept getting an error message that I didn't have a backlink but I did.

Love that square wreath and the snow is so pretty...

I entered two links but both said "no backlink", but I definitely have them backlinked, so I checked the box to submit for your appoval. So you'll see them in your moderation queue in InLinkz. I have that happen with my link party sometimes too, frustrating! I usually go to TheTablescaper.com and that's where I can never leave a comment, but when I came to TheTablescaper.blogspot.com today, hooray! I can get to your comment page! So I'll use this from now on. I love that square wreath by the way, really unique. Take care - Dawn @ We Call It Junkin.com

I would decorate outside if I didn't have so much snow. We just got another 12" since Thursday and it's snowing again! I like your square wreath and the boxwood in the planters. Your neighborhood looks so nice and cozy.

We are snowed in today. No mail or paper on Saturday. I'd like to get some boxwood bushes this spring. Your wreath looks pretty good.

I love that boxwood wreath! Such a good idea. I never know quite what to do during the time the Christmas wreath comes down and the spring one goes up. Such a sad and gray time period. Your darling baby looks so cute peaking through the window longingly.

There was actually a threat of snow in Houston this week and that was enough to shut the city down. That must seem crazy to those of you who live with it winter after winter.

Winter is blasting here too. I am ready for some flowers but, like you; it is a little early. I am still trying to come up with my V-Day wreath!
Thanks for hosting!
Stay warm!
