Welcome to The Tablescaper.
Between trying to put away all of the Christmas décor (still not done), being back in the full swing of my three children’s activities and fighting off all of the crazy bugs that have been floating around…
…I haven’t quite been feeling up to par.
I thought I’d share with you today…
…the table that welcomed my guests at my Birthday Party.
Choosing the flowers was one of my favorite parts of the event.
Each guest was welcomed with a glass of champagne. You can see the entire party HERE, but these are a few that I had never shared before.
Tip: Having a separate table set to welcome your guests, with a special drink or a few nibbles, sets the mood for the entire event. It doesn’t take much. It can just be an extension of your main table, using the same colors, theme and flowers, but it helps get your guests to the spirit of the party!
I’m partying at: Cuisine Kathleen for Let’s Dish; Yvonne of Stone Gable for Tutorials, Tips and Tidbits; Katherine of Katherine’s Corner for Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop; The Style Sisters for Centerpiece Wednesday; Kathy of A Delightsome Life for Home and Garden Thursday;Sheri at The Charm of Home for Home Sweet Home; Susan at Between the Naps for Tablescape Thursday;Courtney of French Country Cottage for Feather Your Nest Friday;Alison of Stuff and Nonsense for Fridays Unfold; Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.

Sorry to hear you aren't feeling well. So many of my friends had the flu this past holiday. Hope you feel better soon. The details of your birthday party are beautiful.
Beautiful flowers...hope you get to feeling like yourself soon.
What a fun way to start a party.. I guess belated birthday wishes are in order... hope you feel better very soon. I had this crud for almost 3 weeks now.. no fun! Your crystal is so very pretty. As are the flowers.. and I agree. Picky flowers is certainly the most fun. xo marlis

I went back to look at your original post. And I have to say, that is the most beautiful table setting I have EVER seen! Oh, the roses! The peonies! The crystal! The linens! The everything! Not to mention, the MENU! What a dream! In fact, I will probably go to sleep tonight dreaming of this.
It looks beautiful! Good thing I didn't come, my diet coke would have ruined the look! :)
Fee; better!
Sorry to hear you are feeling bad. Those photographs of the roses are incredible. So real I can almost smell them! Hope you feel better soon. Dianne
Happy Birthday. Did you have a Jan. B-day? So did I. I am sorry to hear your not feeling well. 12/23,12/24/and up to 4 pm 12/25 I spent it in the hospital. I got the flu. it was so bad that no matter what Idrank was not enough to the heaves, I was dehydrated, no potassium in my body, and major virtago. that is how bad this flu bug is. I am now into 20 plus days and am not still on my feet. I am not contagious, yet I am so weak, and just blah. My hubby had the flu shot and got this junk also. He is not up to par either. So everyone out there, keep a check on yourself if you get the flu, if you know things are not right with you go to the ER. I was in quarentine 2 1/2 days, it is as bad as the news is saying. Praying you will feel like yourself again real soon.
I SO enjoyed virtually attending your birthday party again :) All the details from the menu, to the dishes & crystal were amazing and oh so lovely, especially the flowers! Hope you feel better soon!
Hope your birthday was fantastic and wishing you a great year. Your guests must've felt like royalty.
Very pretty! I'll just BET you had a ball choosing and working with the flowers...they're beautiful! The colors are so soft.
I've been walking around with a surgical mask and wiping down EVERYTHING in sight in my effort to avoid that crazy flu. If I look like a dope, that's OK. I just don't want to get sick again like last year. That was 7 weeks of my life I'll never get back!!!
I hope you feel perky and sunshiny again soon! Have a great weekend!
The flower and glasses are just stunning. What a beautiful bouquet.
Cynthia

Ms. A, I am SOOO glad you've posted this little addition to your birthday party, because I missed it! May I wish you a Belated but no less sincere "Happy Birthday!!" What a lovely table to celebrate another year. I like your idea of getting the fun of doing the table yourself & having it catered. Smart!
I hope you feel better soon. I am doing EVERYTHING I can to keep the germs out of here.
Distant & sterile Hugs,
Rett
I hope you don't have or are getting the flu that seems to be raging. I'm betting that everything about your birthday celebration was terrific.
Hope you're feeling better soon!!!
