Welcome to The Tablescaper.
Winter is here.
I was playing with a snow scene tablescape in my head all week…
…but when it came time to set my table…
…I decided I was more in the mood for some deep, rich colors.
The runner and matching napkins (April Cornell) were the inspiration.
The flatware is equally strong.
Shades of ruby and…
…amethyst followed.
With the bright white of the hydrangea, it was hard to capture the deep amethyst of the cut bowl (amazingly a Home Goods find several years ago).
The little red mercury glass plate on the top of the stack was from Christmas Tree.
The shallow black and white bowl a Pier One purchased (on clearance this past Summer).
The purple plate is by Mikasa. The charger was a Pier One splurge from the Fall, with a red charger from years ago below highlighting the intricacies of the charger.
Kathleen, of Cuisine Kathleen, was good enough to capture these for me one day last year while at Christmas Tree.
Individual salt and pepper complete the scene.
Winter inspires me to try something different. Give it a try!
Combine some colors you might not have thought to bring together.
I’m partying at: Let’s Dish at Cuisine Kathleen's;Yvonne at Stone Gable for Tutorials, Tips and Tidbits; Katherine of Katherine’s Corner for Thursday Favorite Things Blog Hop; The Style Sisters for Centerpiece Wednesday; Kathy of A Delightsome Life for Home and Garden Thursday;Sheri at The Charm of Home for Home Sweet Home; Susan at Between the Naps for Tablescape Thursday;Courtney of French Country Cottage for Feather Your Nest Friday; Cindy at My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday.

I love the colors!! The cloth is wonderful. Beautiful table!
I would rank this tablescape right up at the top of the list. The colors are so warm and beautiful. Perfect for a snowy and cold suppertime..Happy Wednesday..Judy
You make such great photographs. I can't seem to capture tablescapes very well. Do you share what lens you use and any other tips?
I like the vibrant colors right now too. You captured a regal elegant feeling with your tablescape.
This is absolutely gorgeous! One of the best you've done....
Such amazing jewel tones! Love it all!
hugs, Linda
Wonderful!
Your table does look warm and inviting for these cold winter nights! We had about 4" of snow last night and now the driveway is all ice. So nice of Kathleen to find you those goodies! Hope you are well! Linda
Fabulous table! The colors really warm up the atmosphere....Christine
What a beautiful combination!! I so wish we had a Home Goods by us!!
Hugs,
Debbie
These lovely rich colors do set a warm and welcoming table! Love the linens as a backdrop, and I think you will get a LOT of use out of the black and white Pier 1 dishes!
You did a wonderful job of picking up the colors in the linen piece!!! How pretty! I LOVE those red cut bowls!!! I don't know if I like the design of them or the color best, but I do know they ring my bell!!! :-)
I think you made the right choice going with the warm table and not the snowy one. I know it is still January but I am thinking Spring!!!
A very striking combination of colors...gorgeous!
The colors on this are so beautiful and vibrant. What a great table to sit at. I love the red hurricane lamps, and really everything. The linens were such a great start to inspire this beautiful table. Joni
This is so elegant! I just LOVE the Pier 1 chargers! I might have to "splurge" on a few of those myself if they still have them in stock! Gorgeous!
Rede and purple are quite regal. I think it looks great.
Red and purple....I love it and what warmth it gives to a winter day. I'm glad you're not waiting until you grow old to use such colors! (:
Wow, this is a "rich" table. Love these deep colors. It's perfect for a winter theme table. Very elegant!
Lovely, such rich colors, and what a variety! The hurricanes are beautiful!
Oy on the music, :)
What an amazing tablescape! Love the colors. Just stunning!
You know what I love the most about this post? I love that you put together things that people who don't do lots of tablescapes would never consider. People often tell me that they don't have all the things I do to create a tablescape and I try to convince them that if they just look at what they do have, they might just be surprised. This table really proves that. It is gorgeous and a mix of textures, colors and patterns that aren't usually seen together. Love it!
I love the vibrant, rich colors of your table! You so artfully mix and match...what a joy to see in the middle of January and a cold, gray winter's day!
Hello, The deep, rich colors are gorgeous - love the design on the napkin ring. I do appreciate you sharing with Home and Garden Thursday,
Kathy
So wonderfully warm and glowing for this very cold week!
