Busy with Tea

Copy of senior tea 030 (3)

Welcome to The Tablescaper. If you haven’t heard, in honor of my 100th Seasonal Sundays and my third Blog-a-versary, I’m having a $100.00 gift certificate to HomeGoods or TJMaxx. Click HERE for all of the details.

As you may recall, last year I assisted our school district in presenting a tea for the Senior Citizens of our community.

Senior Tea 064

It is designed to bring the senior citizens closer in relationship to the schools and the children.

Senior Citizen Tea 008

The servers are all high school students and the seniors are treated to various excerpts from outstanding performances from all school age children which took place throughout the year, while the tea takes place.

Senior Tea 009

It’s quite the showcase of talent.

Senior Tea 085

Last year I prepared various tea related tables for the event. It was a lot of work, but so worthwhile.

Senior Citizen Tea 072

This year, I am doing so again, but with the condition that the colors of the table cloths be of my choosing. The golds, leaf green and other sharp colors didn’t too easily lend themselves to a tea setting.

Senior Citizen Tea 086

The problem is, I’m a bit behind! The tea is this Thursday and I have 16 tables to prepare, photograph (so the individuals setting up the tables have a reference point – as we only have an hour to put all of these tables together), and pack it all up!

I’m sure it will all get done, but YIKES! Perhaps I’ll cheat a bit and do some reruns from last year. I don’t think anyone will remember but me. Hope you’ve enjoyed a few of the photos from last year’s tea.

If you haven’t heard about my $100.00 giveaway, be sure to click HERE to read all about it.

Seasonal Sundays # 98–Details of Dining Room and GIVEAWAY

Seasonal Sunday Teapot copy
Welcome to Seasonal Sundays at The Tablescaper. Last week I shared my Dining Room Reveal. Click HERE if you missed it. It’s quite a change.
Dining Room Reveal 032
This week, I’m sharing some of the details of the dining room corner cabinet. You may recall, it used to look like this:corner cabinet 009, but now looks like:
Dining Room Reveal 030
And even though there isn’t a lot of color, there still is a lot of detail. Each shelf showcases 2 different sets of white plates.
Dining Room Reveal 042
I have some major blogging events coming up. On Sunday, May 13th – Mother’s Day – I will be hosting the 100th Seasonal Sundays!
Dining Room Reveal 034
Saturday, June 2nd will mark my third anniversary blogging, or as I call it, my blog-a-versary. Once again, my theme will be “Where do you keep it all?”. Each year, I’ve shared where I store my things. Once again I will do so and hope you will do so as well.
Dining Room Reveal 044
So in light of all of these momentous dates, I’m doing a
     $100.00 gift certificate give-away,

the winner of which will be announced on Sunday, June 3, 2012.
Dining Room Reveal 037
I tried to decide what would be the perfect give-away. It seems we all enjoy shopping at Home Goods. I know I do.
Dining Room Reveal 044
I also realized that not everyone has a HomeGoods nearby, so I thought I’d offer the winner the option of Home Goods or TJMaxx.
Dining Room Reveal 040
While I was HomeGoods the other day, I noticed they had some gift certificates that can work at  HomeGoods OR TJMaxx OR Marshalls. I immediately purchased one of those in the amount of $100.00.
Dining Room Reveal 047
In order to win the gift certificate you must be a FOLLOWER. Now, go and check, as I myself have had the experience where I thought I was a FOLLOWER, and I wasn’t.
Dining Room Reveal 019
Also, the  more posts you comment on, between now and Saturday, June 2, 2010, the more likely you will be to win.
Copy of Dining Room Reveal 049
As most of you know, by signing up to be a FOLLOWER you’ll get notified each time I post. You can also sign up for the email notifications if that helps you, but you MUST be FOLLOWER as well. Just scroll down on the sidebar for both.
Feel free to grab the button and spread the giveaway news!
Now that all of that technical business is out of the way, I can’t wait to see what you’ve been up to!

Royal Breakfast Part II

Oh, beware! This is a totally photo heavy post.

My daughters and I had hosted a Royal Breakfast

Party. To see the post about the decorations click

HERE. Once the invitations were hand delivered, it

was time to decorate.

I invited some of my friends (those that were close by

and willing to get up at and be at my home by 5 am –

there are a few crazies amongst us. LOL).

I’m not English, nor am I a big Royal follower,

Royal Wedding 263

Of course, there was…

station, which I’ll share in another post.

Royal Wedding 296

This one is already way too long.

Hope that no matter how you viewed the Royal

Wedding…

Besides coffee and tea, we had many other beverages.
