Welcome to Seasonal Sundays. It’s hard to believe that this is the ninety fourth Seasonal Sundays. I’ll have to start thinking about the celebration of the 100th!
As Easter is upon us…
…one can see bunnies hopping about.

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays!
I had a wonderfully unexpected surprise. If you’ve read this blog for long, you’ve heard Kathleen and I speak of our different shopping adventures, but we live about an hour and twenty minutes away from each other, so most of those adventures take place somewhere in between each of our homes – usually at The Christmas Tree Shop. Well, this Friday Kathleen’s husband was headed to the accountant (yes, it’s that time of year) and lucky for me, I’m on their way to the accountant. So Mr. Cuisine went to the accountant and Kathleen and I went shopping! First we went to Century 21. There is one in Manhattan and one on Long Island. Kathleen thinks it’s been about ten years since she had been in the store. Oh, the bargains we found! I thought I’d share our adventure.

I decided to do something a bit different for my tablescape this week.
Everything is glass!
The scheme was set by the tablecloth, a recent acquisition from
It was fun to pull out all of my cobalt glass, one of the very first
things I collected.
To begin with I even had a cobalt glass plate, but the contrast of the
olive one was much better.
The flatware was spied at Christmas Tree by my good friend Kathleen
of Cuisine Kathleen.
I love using my baby moss balls (in a crackle glass vase from a dollar
store). Man, I went crazy trying to find them last spring.
The cobalt stemware was one of my first purchases ever at
HomeGoods. I shudder to think how many there have been since
Each place had it’s own little tea light (cobalt candle holders from
Walmart, years ago).
The footed glass plate which held the ivy was a recent purchase from
HomeGoods. Although I have a ton of cobalt glass, it just wouldn’t let
me leave it on the shelf.
See you Wednesday at 7 pm!

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays! Spring makes me think PROJECTS. One of the projects on my list is painting. I haven’t gotten there yet, but my dear friend Kim has. Kim just (like this week) finished having her kitchen repainted. She was good enough to allow me to share it with my friends in blogland.
Isn’t it amazing?!?! It looks right out of Country Living.
Kim and I have been friends for close to twenty five years and through those years, we’ve gone on many a shopping trip.
We’ve been to many an antique store…
…and tag sale, …
…not to mention innumerable trips to HomeGoods, TOGETHER!
Kim is so talented at showcasing her collections.
When you’re friends with someone as long as we’ve been friends, …
…it’s funny how your taste wears off on each other.
There are definitely things that we both have in our collections.
Yesterday I had stopped by to check out the new paint color.
Today, Kim innocently sent me a text with a photo of how the shelves were coming along.
I immediately asked if I could run over and take some photos.
Before I got there, not only had she finished arranging the shelves, but she had thrown a tablescape together.
Don’t you just love friendships where you can show up at a moment’s notice?
I get to take credit for these curtains. I was shopping at Christmas Tree (gee, do you think Kathleen was with me?) when I spied these. I immediately knew they would be perfect for Kim’s kitchen.
There’s so much more to see in Kim’s adorable home that we’ll have to same some for another visit. I promise, we’ll be back!

And of course I’m joining Kathleen, of Cuisine Kathleen, at her St. Patrick’s Day Crawl.

But no matter the shade,…
