Preparations Continue–Seasonal Sundays # 130

Seasonal Sunday Teapot copy

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays!

concert prep 120

My Christmas preparations continue.

concert prep 123

In my post last week, I talked about how when you change the décor of a room, you wind up changing your holiday decorations too.

concert prep 127

My corner cabinet got a makeover as well!

concert prep 161

I enjoy taking things that I have and use every season, and…

concert prep 163

…giving them a little kick for Christmas.

concert prep 128

But I must confess, this little trio of Sadler English pitchers were a purchase this week from an antique shop while I was out Christmas shopping.

concert prep 136

Their coloring confirmed my thoughts on what I wanted to do in this cabinet.

concert prep 132

The little trio of ice buckets spans the years. The one furthest to the right is rather new…

concert prep 166

…while I believe this one was a wedding gift to my parents and, …

concert prep 168

…this one is from their days of cruising on the Holland American lines. LOVE the individual ice cube apparatus!

concert prep 154

Not all of my Christmas décor has gone silver!

concert prep 145

A few weeks ago I shared my new tree, with just it’s lights. Well, now it’s in it’s full glory – full of the many shades of Christmas!

Love seeing what you’re up to.

I love the silver and white display in your corner cabinet. Your tree is wonderful too.

I debated about joining tonight. We have an overnight guest. We had a family get together today. Our guest decided to spend the night. She didn't even bring pj's and extra clothes this trip. Maybe she thought she would jinx her sleep over plan.LOL She should know by now, any trip to G'ma and G'pa's on a non school night usually means an overnight.:-)

I'll be around to visit, when she is fast asleep. Which may be awhile. We both had a great nap this afternoon!!

The silver is sooooo pretty! My house is mostly in earth tones, but....I might have to rethink that next holiday season, and try to incorporate more silver. Thank you for the inspiration, and as usual, thank you for hosting this awesome party!

The large silver stars are gorgeous with your beautiful white china, silver pieces and the blue. It's funny how our decorating taste changes over the years like fashion...I had a "Victorian" phase, and now it's all modern for me...I love your tree, it looks like a great mix of lots of memories. Thanks for a fun party.

Love the corner cabinet's gentle colors, mixed with that bit of holiday sparkle!

And that is MY KIND OF TREE -- big and full and loaded with memories and sparkle. Gorgeous job!

We put out fresh tree up in our sunroom last evening, and our new dog decided it was a delicious giant snack. It could have been worse; he didn't use it the way he uses trees OUTSIDE!

When we get our tree decorated, I'll be back!

Merry Christmas!!!
Cass

Beautiful silver display, I love it! Your tree is also gorgeous and with lots of pretty ornaments, which is my fave kind. I had an angel on the top too of my tree for many years..but this year I changed it to a top glass ornament, like the old fashion kind, and brought the angel to the mantel. I love this kinda year, even though my heart is so sad for the tragedy in Conn. Thank you for hosting yet, another great party at Seasonal Sunday.
