The Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns –Seasonal Sundays #124

Seasonal Sunday Teapot copy

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays.

rising of the Pumpkins 008

Recently I went with one of my Girl Scout troops to see the Rise of the Jack O’ Lanterns at Westbury Gardens.

rising of the Pumpkins 015

I was quite an amazing experience.

rising of the Pumpkins 026

There were over 5,000 hand carved pumpkins.

rising of the Pumpkins 018

Some were real.

rising of the Pumpkins 012

Some were faux.

rising of the Pumpkins 035

Some were scary.

rising of the Pumpkins 038

Some were decorative.

rising of the Pumpkins 067

But all were hand carved.

It couldn’t have been more appropriate,…

rising of the Pumpkins 029

…since I was there with my Girl Scout troop,…

rising of the Pumpkins 030

…that FOUR of the pumpkins…

rising of the Pumpkins 031

…were dedicated to Girl Scouts!

rising of the Pumpkins 033

We were so fortunate to have a glorious evening…

rising of the Pumpkins 055

…to walk in the woods…

rising of the Pumpkins 066

It was hard to choose…

…which was your favorite.

I think this was mine.

rising of the Pumpkins 042

The detail was amazing!

Do you think this was for real???
