Welcome to Seasonal Sundays.
Most Fall Saturday mornings you’ll find my family out on the soccer fields. The soccer leagues in our town are huge and include children from Kindergarten through High School. Of course there’s a travel team but our family seems to fit in best with the intramurals, where the emphasis is on everyone getting a chance to play and learn.
A pregame chat with the coach on a chilly morning.
High School students as referees.
And the game is one. Love the bows!
Determination.
And despair, but mostly a sense of community.
How have you been spending your Fall?

How fun. There weren't any girls sports except for basketball when I was in school. In a lot of ways, my generation really missed out.
Happy weekend and thanks for hosting SS. I've linked a pumpkin black bean soup.

Boy, oh boy, do I remember those days. My son is 34 now, but I remember his soccer days like they were just last week! I'm not exactly what you would call an "outdoorsy" kind of girl, but I made the effort and got to every game. He was pretty good, but his Crohn's slowed him way down and tired him out fast. He was a trooper, though. He wanted to stay out there for as long as his little body would let him, and then he would cheer from the sideline after that. I still have his little soccer uniform in my hope chest. (I'm married now, so everything in the hope chest is stuff that I "hope" I can remember as I start getting older! :-) These days I spend my fall mostly indoors. Have a great week!
We have been going to lots of soccer games, too. I love watching the really little kids.
Thank you for hosting. Those days spent at children's games are precious. I can tell that you're enjoying them. ~Zuni

Thank you so much for hosting the party for us! My hubby and I have been busy working on building and then finishing some new furniture pieces for our living and dining rooms. Plus I've been gathering in all the tomatoes and tomatillos right before we start getting rain again here in the Pacific Northwest--I had 4 five-gallon bucketsful two days ago! Have a wonderful new week.
I just noticed that this is Sunday #122. Where has the time gone?
Good stuff all around! I joined the linky group too and dropped of my craft link. Have a great Fall!
