Early Fall–Seasonal Sundays # 119

Seasonal Sunday Teapot copy

Welcome to Seasonal Sundays.

Fall Leaves 015

It’s early Fall here in the north east. My hollies have berries, but they haven’t begun to change color.

Fall Leaves 022

My Japanese Maple turns a deep beautiful burgundy, but not yet.

Fall Leaves 028

However the polly noses are in place!

Fall Leaves 018

It’s still warm, almost summer like, but there is a bit of a chill in the air. Love being able to sleep with the windows wide open and a big comforter.

Fall Leaves 039

The Pee Gee hydrangeas are in full bloom, but…

Fall Leaves 050

…the mighty oaks have yet to shower their acorns.

Hope you’re enjoying this beautiful time of the year and all that nature has to offer.

Love the leaf photos!

We are still working on selling the house. Not working too hard so we can enjoy the wonderful weather.

Happy Autumn!

Such lovely photos! It is so hot here in Dallas today that I can't stop complaining :( We have a few more weeks of heat to go before it gets really nice. Gives us plenty of time to enjoy college football! Have a great weekend and thank you for hosting.

Our fall is hot and humid, highs near 90. But the nights are cool and the fresh breezes in the open windows feel great and make for good sleep.

It definitely is a beautiful time of the year, esp on the East End. I love going to the farms and seeing all the fresh harvest and mums. Have to get some cabbage and cauli when we go Wed.
Enjoy your Sunday!

Lots of acorns dropping here! I sweep them up from the terrace every day, only to find more the following morning. There is a nip to the air in the mornings and evenings. Really nice for September here in TX. Makes me smile. Your hydrangeas make me smile too!
Wish we could grow them here. Thanks for hosting and happy fall..........Sarah

Autumn started Sept.22 . We had our first rain for the Pacific N.W.area. I am still in the middle of remodel. My kitchen is still gutted but the refreg. and stove. By first wk of Oct. I will have cabinets and end of Oct. granite. So it will make 3 months with no sink, no kitchen. So fall I am going to look forward to and remember for a long time. thanks for the lovely fall pictures.

Acorns are falling like crazy in Maine. BTW, I'm glad to know those hydrangeas are called peewees. I have lots and didn't know that's what they were named.

Hi Alma
I made a mistake and posted the same post as last week on #33. I corrected it on a new entry. Can you delete #33?

I am in Colorado this week and the weather is beautiful! The trees are beginning to change color here a bit. I love autumn!

Our acorns are falling! They're small this year, but seem plentiful-the squirrels are happy:@)

I'm loving your leaf foliage. Here in the mountains our holly berries are bright red. We have so many wild hollies on our property we should call it Holly Hill.

Thanks so much for hosting. You have THE very best Linky with the large photos. Have a great weekend.

Beautiful fall images. Once the leaves turn on the Japanese Maple, clip a few branches for a vase. They make a beautiful fall arrangement! Thanks for hosting.

Beautiful photos. There will not be any change in the trees here until mid to late October. We are still in the 90's here in the west Texas desert. Thanks for hosting.
