Strawberry Duet

strawberries 058

Welcome to The Tablescaper.

strawberries 009

As we wind through these lovely lazy days of summer…

strawberries 015

…I always think of berries popping in my mouth, full of sweet explosion!

strawberries 026

Truth be told, nowadays you can get strawberries at almost any time of year,…

strawberries 029

…but there is nothing like a fresh local berry!

strawberries 043

These napkins were my Mom’s and they were the inspiration for this table. I love the touch of aqua!

strawberries 056

The red square plates were last year’s bargain from Pfaltzgraff. The dinner plates, from awhile back from Dollar Tree. I think the ruffled red placemats were from HomeGoods.

strawberries 053

I’m not certain what these greens are. In the spring they have a tiny yellow green flower. Their soft green seemed the perfect compliment to a little strawberry pitcher, that was also my Mom’s.

strawberries 035

Our family kitchen used to be a strawberry motif – back in the day!

strawberries 061

Last summer I was the lucky winner of a picnic back pack which included this flatware.

strawberries 058

The napkin rings were from a bargain hunting expedition with Kathleen two years ago at The Williams Sonoma Outlet.

strawberries 030

strawberries 071 This little strawberry bowl was from our most recent bargain hunting expedition. The trip to Savers yielded this bowl, originally from Pottery Barn.

strawberries 018

The candle rings, also part of the expedition, were from Dollar King!

strawberries 037

And the little strawberry candles, were yet another purchase from our most recent expedition.

strawberries 024

So sit back and enjoy the dappled sunlight…

strawberries 012

…and the berries of the season!

Since life is always rushed and people hardly sit down to eat together, it makes me happy to see a beautiful tablescape.

You are SO right...nothing like a strawberry picked straight from the vine and popped straight into your mouth! You've got the strawberry theme really rockin' here! I love the combination of red & turquoise because it's full of color and a big surprise to the mind's eye. It's got real pizzazz!

I still enjoy a fruit motif, we also had strawberries in the kitchen, moved on to apples. Savers sounds like a great place to shop. xo

Gorgeous tablescape, as you always do, sweet lady. I love to eat together with my big girls and little girls, but it's not always possible, as they live far from us. Such pretty strawberries too. Love your mom's napkins, they are pretty, along with the ruffled place mats, which are great! Hugs,
FABBY

I adore eating berries and looking at berry-related things. It's all berry good to me!! I love the aqua color with the red... what a fun twist. How nice that your Mom collected those pretty strawberry items and you get to use them.

Lovely festive table with so much color and pop. Love the red placemats! I have those in aqua, but now I'll have to go on the hunt for red ones ~ you've inspired me with new ideas.

Im with you when it comes to fresh local strawberries. The season in Maine is over to be replaced by wild blueberries which are equally delish.

There's something so cheerful about strawberries, and you have captured it perfectly in your adorable table for two! It's fun to hear about your shopping trips, too!

Red and aqua really makes a statement! Your table is delightful, and your mom's napkins are a perfect touch.

Wow. Not only is your tablescape lovely, but that long stretch of lawn and the shade trees. It inspires me to move the table outdoors. Now, if only the dogs didn't do their business out there. . . .. .
I love the aqua and red. Got a lot of it going on in my house. And you got to love the strawberry theme. Lovely.

A beautiful tablescape as always! I just love looking at your blog, and what a relief that there are still some people who are appropriately celebrating Summer. I am seeing posts popping up with Halloween being mentioned. I mean, it's just the beginning of August! Still plenty of Summer left. Love the strawberry motif. . .
