Seasonal Sundays # 103–Where do you keep it all? - Third Blog-a-versary!

Seasonal Sunday Teapot copy
Welcome to The Tablescaper and my THIRD Blog-a-versary! In honor of my THIRD Blog-a-versary, I’m hosting the third WHERE DO YOU KEEP IT ALL? It’s clearly the question I’m asked the most. You can click HERE to see my FIRST Where do you keep it all? and HERE to see my SECOND Where do you keep it all?
So, as this was approaching, I began to think, what am I going to post? Haven’t I shown them everything? And the more I thought about it, I realized I’ve shown you my deep storage, but I really haven’t shown you where I keep things in most of my regular living space.
Where do you keep it all 3 020
You’ve been down this hallway many times. Usually to see a vignette on that little table by the front door.
Where do you keep it all 3 023
But I don’t think I’ve ever shown you the built in shelving unit that is on the other side of the hallway. It is filled with many tea treasures!
021
I’ll just share a little highlight today as going through the whole shelf would be a post in itself. the cocoa pot with the lovely lady on it was my mother-in-laws. The cat was my Nana Reis’s. The rest are treasures I’ve collected.
005
Now into the living room. As I’ve said before, one of my favorite places to store things is in the open, so of course there are plates on the wall above the sofa and, can you steal a glimpse into the open door of the powder room? There are plates on that wall too.
015
The sconces were purchased on a buying trip to North Carolina and the painting was done by a family friend of Mr. Scaper’s.
take 2 029
This little cabinet holds a ton of treasures – including ones made by my children – but again, I think the contents are another post. Yeah, I know, I’ve got a lot of stuff.
take 2 006
Now, you’ve seen that table in many a tablescape, but I don’t think you’ve ever seen the armoire…
take 2 008
…filled with glassware!
take 2 013
The cabinet is so deep, it holds a whole lot!
take 2 016
I even made use of the little shelf on the very top – various shot glass type vessels to hold individual portions.
take 2 023
The cabinet underneath is Mr. Scaper’s domain. He collects vintage audio gear.
Dining Room Reveal 020
Once again, you’ve seen the corner cabinet, but…
Where do you keep it all 3 025
…an entire collection of Summer Chintz is below! I don’t think I’ve ever used that in a post!
Where do you keep it all 3 032
And my little side bar sits demurely to the side, but…
Where do you keep it all 3 028
…it’s drawers are stuffed with collections of spreader, small forks and small spoons.
Dining Room Reveal 018
And, you’ve seen my beloved demi-lune cabinet before, but…
take 2 069
…it holds many treasures!
take 2 059
And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for. In order to determine the winner of the $100. Gift Certificate to HomeGoods or TJMaxx, I used a highly scientific method. LOL! Well, there was a little bit of scientific method. I copied all of the comments made since I announced the giveaway into a Word document. I then thought I’d count. Well, the document was over 100 pages long – no kidding. So…I used the find feature in Word to count out the names. I picked the top 15 or so commenters and put each name on a piece of paper in a bowl. Then my youngest daughter reached in the bowl and…
The winner is Barbara at Two Birdies and a Bee!
Thank you all for participating in the give-away. Barbara, please be sure to email your address so I can send the gift card.
So, where do you keep it all???

This is called making good use of space; and I would call storing china and crystal highly important! We are in our summer home now, so I have nothing to show; everything is in the kitchen cabinets...except my HIGHLY VALUABLE 'unbreakable' summer Wal-Mart stuff. But it's cute. So I'll just add my little post with the margarita glasses!
Happy Weekend!

Congratulations on your third blogaversary and all your posts, one more fabulous than the next, and I mean it sincerely. Also I love Seasonal Sundays, it keeps me motivated each week, believe me, and I am linking up today but not with storage. Nothing changed much for me since last year. :)

Thank you again, this is very generous. xo Please give your daughter an extra hug for me, too, for picking my name!!!!!

Wonderful the way you cleverly store things that you frequently use. I have to do the same. Our home is definitely challenged when it comes to storage space. Many things are in the attic. ;-)
I'm sharing my garden this week. Hope that's OK to link even if it isn't dishes. Guess you could say this is where I store my flowers. LOL
Happy Blog Anniversary and congratulations to Barbara. ~ sarah

I have no idea what I would do without a basement--I've been working on re-organizing my things lately, and I noticed you use cookie sheets under your glassware to be able to move them easily when you need them--brilliant!! I'll be looking for some at garage sales/thrift stores from now on! Thanks for hosting a fun party (wish I had a table to share), and thanks for sharing your storage. ~Zuni

Happy anniversary!
Where do I keep it all? I am a glass and china lover from way back! I have been married 52 years, so I have a lot! We just downsized from a 4,000sq. ft. home to 2700 sq. ft., so the answer is wherever I can find an empty spot in my china cabinet, hunt board, kitchen cabinets, and even the pantry. I did have to give several sets of china away when I moved, though. My hubby calls me the Dish Queen, or the Glass Lady! Guilty as charged! I always enjoy your beautiful and creative tablescapes. Happy Anniversary for Blogging! Wow -- it's amazing how time flies when we are blogging. :-)

I hope you don't mind that I re-posted a 3-year old blogpost for today. You can remove it if you want to!

I'm working the antiques mall today, where my booth is suddenly not doing well, so I'm bringing along a Magic Marker and marking some things down!

I am SO jonesing for some East End. But the weekends are just too busy now; we are thinking of selling the beach house. ACK. I'm not sure I can!

Your home is SO gorgeous -- thanks for giving us a glimpse of the "everyday" places that hold your beauties.
All the best -- Cass

Congrats to Barbara for winning the $100 GC. I know she will have fun with that one. My entry this week is a little off topic, but I sure enjoyed seeing all the clever storage solutions that so many have come up with. I would give anything for a spare closet, but alas I don't have one. It's amazing how much can be fit into a small space.

I don't like to collect too much because I have been on a simplifying my life journey for a while, but I will share a summer Seasonal Sunday which shows just a tiny view of where I keep some of my art supplies.
Much love,
