Welcome to Seasonal Sundays! Spring makes me think PROJECTS. One of the projects on my list is painting. I haven’t gotten there yet, but my dear friend Kim has. Kim just (like this week) finished having her kitchen repainted. She was good enough to allow me to share it with my friends in blogland.
Isn’t it amazing?!?! It looks right out of Country Living.
Kim and I have been friends for close to twenty five years and through those years, we’ve gone on many a shopping trip.
We’ve been to many an antique store…
…antique show…
…and tag sale, …
…not to mention innumerable trips to HomeGoods, TOGETHER!
Kim lined the back of her shelves with paper from ChicShelfPaper.com, which you may recall I featured HERE.
Kim is so talented at showcasing her collections.
When you’re friends with someone as long as we’ve been friends, …
…it’s funny how your taste wears off on each other.
There are definitely things that we both have in our collections.
Yesterday I had stopped by to check out the new paint color.
Today, Kim innocently sent me a text with a photo of how the shelves were coming along.
I immediately asked if I could run over and take some photos.
Before I got there, not only had she finished arranging the shelves, but she had thrown a tablescape together.
Don’t you just love friendships where you can show up at a moment’s notice?
I get to take credit for these curtains. I was shopping at Christmas Tree (gee, do you think Kathleen was with me?) when I spied these. I immediately knew they would be perfect for Kim’s kitchen.
There’s so much more to see in Kim’s adorable home that we’ll have to same some for another visit. I promise, we’ll be back!

I most definitely do like your friend's kitchen nook. It's charming!! I love the blue walls and white shelves and trim. It looks very English to me. You are so right. Kim has such a beautiful touch in putting things together. I LOVE her tea cup collection. I spied several that I also own. Mostly I am touched by your dear friendship. I had a sweet friend who I could drop in at a moments notice, but she lost her battle to cancer 7 years ago, and I sure do miss her. Have a blessed Sunday. And enjoy your friend.

Whay a cozy eating area that Kim has decorated!! I enjoyed seeing her beautiful teacup collection & especially loved the big "TEA" as you enter the room. What fun to have friends with the same shopping tastes. I'd certainly love to share a cup of tea and that pretty room.
When you have china that lovely, it certainly deserves a display as beautiful as Kim's!
Oh I am in tea cup heaven! What a lovely, cozy nook. Well done on the kitchen!
What a fabulous way to display her wonderful collections...please tell Kim we said "thank you" for the inspiration? I'm about to re-do the baker's rack in the kitchen for Easter & I think I may just use all my tea cups!! Hers are sooo pretty & I'm in love with that tiny white one on the table. Too cute!
Thank you for hosting SS again. I hope you had a fun St. Patrick's Day!

I would love to have those built in shelves by a window! The color is perfect! Did you mention the color name? I don't remember seeing it.
She arranged everything so cutely!
Love her tablescape too! I see you two are out of the same mold!
Kim's nook is lovely, and I couldn't help but wish someone like her or you had all my mother's cups and saucers that I gave to Salvation Army. Hopefully, someone found them there and felt they had a real treasure.
Thanks for sharing Kim's breakfast area and the fabulous collection of china! I can see she is a girl after my own heart, and I think I recognized a thing or two.
Definitely hope she lets you show more -- the paint color is great, and I do like the paper on the backboard.

What a great nook, and I love it all! Very nice collection of teacups, and she's great at stacking them. Thank you both for sharing!
If I told my very good friends that I was coming over with my camera to photograph their kitchen for my blog, they would ask a hundred questions ;o) We bloggers understand one another!
Thank you so much for the reminder, I guess I think it needs to be a tablescape!!! Maybe I can get my parties all lined up.
Happy Sunday
Ann
