My Sunny Valentine

My Sunny Valentine 018

Welcome to The Tablescaper.

My Sunny Valentine 006

I’ve so enjoyed my month of BLUE in January,

My Sunny Valentine 014

…and thank you for all of your kind comments, but…

My Sunny Valentine 031

…it’s time to move on!

Chocolate Valentine 021

February is upon us.

My Sunny Valentine 020

The month dedicated to LOVE.

My Sunny Valentine 054

Time to pull out those Valentines and…

Chocolate Valentine 005

…decorate your home with little touches of love.

My Sunny Valentine 026

In the spirit of using what I have and not purchasing so much (man did that go out the window today when Kathleen and I were at Christmas Tree)…

My Sunny Valentine 018

…nothing on this table is new except the Murano glass heart shaped bowl.

My Sunny Valentine 035

My Sunny Valentine 036 The cake plates on the top of the stack are a series of four plates (with matching mugs that didn’t make it on today’s table) that I purchased many years ago at HomeGoods. I love all of their detail. I have two sets of the plates and mugs, so eight of each. I’d love to have a third set to reach my twelve, but I’ve never seen them again.

My Sunny Valentine 038My Sunny Valentine 039

Both the salad plate and the dinner plate are by April Cornell. These are amongst my most favorite dishes. I just love their dimension. The heart shaped placemats were from Christmas Tree, last year.

My Sunny Valentine 046

The glasses are from Ikea, some time ago, but I think they still have them.

My Sunny Valentine 029

The votives are from Ikea as well. The planters are from Michael’s.

Chocolate Valentine 007

The napkin rings were purchased at a clearance sale at Pier One. I’m pretty sure Kathleen was with me on that shopping expedition. The napkins are also by April Cornell.

My Sunny Valentine 042

The flatware was from a super sale at the William Sonoma Outlet (they don’t have too many of those anymore).

My Sunny Valentine 056

As much as I enjoyed my month of BLUE, it was so fun to shift completely…

Chocolate Valentine 016

…to a different color palette.

My Sunny Valentine 004

I think that’s what I love most about tablescaping. You’re not tied in to one color palette or style, as you might be with decorating your home.

My Sunny Valentine 053

You can change your table as the spirit moves you

This is most lovely.. I loved those quilted placemats. Your sweet heart plates are darling too. It was a shocker to not see blue, then I realized it is really February. The pink and green is charming. Tulips make me realize spring is not too far away.. xo marlis

That is a beautiful tablescape.

I REALLY enjoyed your blue too - but, as you posted, it is nie to change it up.

I LOVE that this was all stuff you had......nothing like "shopping in your home" to make you feel all frugal inside!

Well done!

Oh, those little cake plates ARE pretty! They look wonderful on the green plates, and I like how you've sandwiched in pink doilies. With the tulips and this color scheme, you've won my heart!

You had me hooked on blue, but I'm afraid I converted instantly once I saw those cake plates. Pink rules, with a lovely assistance from green.

What a perfectly pink and pretty table this is! I love the heart placemats. I think you and Kathleen should have your own reality show, what fun footage just from your shopping trips and getting the packages in the house! xo

That Kathleen...she is SUCH a bad influence! She's the bad little devil sitting on the left shoulder, whispering in your ear! :-) I would be sitting right there with her, though! :-) :-) :-) I LOVE the pink & green! This is one of my all-time favorite color combinations, and it always makes me think of everything happy and loving and light! You really made this table look both romantic and Springy all at once! I think the tulips (one of my very favorite flowers!) just bring it all together. GORGEOUS dishes, and I love the mix & match of them. Beautiful!!!!!! I love blue & white (my SECOND favorite color combination!), but I'm glad to see this new color combo to kick off the month!

I truly loved your month of blue, but this is such a pretty, girly table with all those shades of to-die-for pink! Your dish layering is gorgeous, and the linens are SO sweet! I completely agree about tablescaping. I have done some that were totally out of the box, as far as my style is concerned. Can't wait to see your next tablescape!

The lovely Valentine table of pink and green is very, very pretty. The show piece is the hearts and flowers china and focuses the theme. The tulips bring height to the tablescape without obscuring the view. The pink glass heart shape bowl anchors the center of the table. I enjoyed your blue posts and glad we have the posibilities of more of your beautiful tablescapes. Happy Tablescaping! Pam
