A Chocolate Valentine

Chocolate Valentine 027

Welcome to The Tablescaper.

Chocolate Valentine 070

Valentine’s Day brings forth all sorts of images. Hearts and chocolate sure are some of them!

Chocolate Valentine 055

We also tend to think of Valentine’s Day as a romantic time, which it certainly can be, but…

Chocolate Valentine 038

…it’s a great day to spend some special time with those that we love, like our family.

Chocolate Valentine 084

What could be better than gathering your family around a table with a chocolate fountain center stage. This is one tablescape my family was very happy to assist with! LOL!

Chocolate Valentine 076

There is nothing like chocolate to bring a smile to so many.

Chocolate Valentine 112

And would you like your marshmallow…

Chocolate Valentine 125

…covered in warm silky chocolate?

Chocolate Valentine 109

Or do you prefer the taste of a bit of salt with your chocolate dream?

Chocolate Valentine 086

Perhaps a strawberry dipped in chocolate is more to your liking.

Chocolate Valentine 027

If you haven’t had enough chocolate, there’s always mug of warm cocoa topped with a…

Chocolate Valentine 044

…marshmallow heart.

Chocolate Valentine 058

Chocolate Valentine 060

Herat shaped bowls by Chantel, purchased through the years at HomeGoods, are at the top of the stack.

Chocolate Valentine 061Chocolate Valentine 063

The wonderful chocolate brown plates and mugs are part of a very inexpensive boxed set.

Chocolate Valentine 065

Chocolate Valentine 067

The pink polka dot dinner plates, along with the round chocolate place mats, were Christmas Tree purchases from a couple of years ago.

Chocolate Valentine 042

The napkin rings were part of my Christmas gift from my good friend and fellow dish-a-holic, Barbara.

Chocolate Valentine 036

The little whimsical heart spoons were purchased on one my rare visits to Hobby Lobby. I sure wish we had one by us.

Chocolate Valentine 145

The only new purchase were these great tumblers from Dollar Tree this year.

Chocolate Valentine 046

However you spend your Valentine’s Day…

Chocolate Valentine 040

…I hope that you can spend part of it gathered round a table with those you love.

A chocolate fountain, family style...how much fun is that! I waffled between pink and chocolate or pink and gray....this week I went with the pink and gray. Your polka dot pieces enchant me every time. Thanks for inviting us for a peak at your wonderful design. Cherry Kay

You and I were thinking along the same color lines this week! I love what you did with the chocolate & pink, and the dishes used are perfect! The chocolate fountain is a really great touch! That would be a popular addition to just about any table!!! I guess we have a trade off so far as the CTS and Hobby Lobby. I wish we had CTS, you wish you had Hobby Lobby. Sigh! What's wrong with these stores?!??! Don't they know they need to spread the wealth?!??!! :-)

My face lit up when I spotted the chocolate fountain in the first photo! I know your family's faces did, too! LOVE the pink with chocolate brown theme -- a nice change from red and white. Those pink bowls are darling!

I love this! I honed in like the professional chocolate sniffer that I am on the chocolate fountain right away. To me, the whole table sort of has a dipped chocolate look to it. I'm a huge fan of that specific pink with brown. I need to send my daughter to this table. She would absolutely love it.

Love your pink and brown, I have those brown plates that I thought were purple!
What a fun table this is! Delicious! I'll send the gkids over next time you get that machine out! :)

Wow! What an awesome chocolate tablescape! I love the combination of pink and brown. I bought these same marshmallows and plan to use them on hot chocolate on Tuesday. Perhaps you'll stop by next Thursday and check out my interpretation, although it won't be on the same beautiful scale as yours! Happy Valentine's Day!

Okay, I want to come party at YOUR house! I might dive into the chocolate fountain though! How great is that for a Valentine treat, and I love your pink and brown mixture on the table. When I saw it in your header, I let out a sigh, because it looked so pretty. But then, I scrolled down and saw the chocolate fountain in the center of your table. Well, I tell you I almost fell out of my chair! You are definitely the hostess with the mostest! Love it! Thanks so much for linking this pretty and mouth-watering post to the party at my place. laurie

Hello! First, thanks for coming to The Marmelade Gypsy and also for suggesting I link to the Seasonal Sundays. I'm afraid I'm too late -- it's Valentine's Day! But as a china junkie, I'm sure loving your blog and as we move toward Easter, I'll be looking your way! Although I'll be back before then!
