Welcome to The Tablescaper.
We’re starting to get a bit of crispness in the air.
The leaves are changing…
…and some are falling.
As those leaves fall…
…they see to congregate into little piles.
I love the rustling sound…
…those little piles of leaves make.
Sometimes, a little group of those leaves…
…blow down the street.
They’ve got their own rustle sound.
The rustle of leaves is a sure sign that Fall is here!
Almost time to light a fire!
Ok, so where is all of this stuff from? The lidded white pumpkins, which everyone always asks about, were from Christmas Tree several years ago. I think I paid $3.98 or something equally inexpensive. And yes, I have twelve. Unfortunately Christmas Tree has not had them again. The cream charger with the raised roses were an off name dollar store quite a number of years ago. I know, amazing that they were a dollar. The cocoa brown dishes were from a very inexpensive boxed set. I didn’t have solid brown. They were a great price. I bought them! The taupe salad plates were a real steal. I got them at Christmas Tree this summer in their clearance department. I think they were 39 cents each! The willow mats were something I had been looking for. Kathleen, of Cuisine Kathleen, had some kind of a coupon for World Market and was gracious enough to include me in her order. A long sought after purchase was completed. The goblets were from a great sale at Horchow. They were in clearance and then they had some one day, some percentage off of everything sale. They’re very interesting as they’re etched. Even the pumpkins were on sale, Michael’s 50% off. The little white ones were also Michael’s but weren’t on sale. That’s when you’re glad you’ve got the 40% off one regularly priced item coupon stashed in your purse. The flatware is Cambridge. I’ve had it awhile. It looks like wood, but is plastic. The little gold candles are from Pier One. I got them on clearance this summer as Pier One considered them clearance. So I think that’s my tale.

I love that sound! We went to a festival this past weekend and there were leaves on the ground. I just had to shuffle my feet in them and give them a little kick. I just couldn't help myself.
Great tablescape...as always. Happy Fall!
Just wondering what is hiding in the beautiful white bowl:)
Leaves are just starting to fall around here, I love stepping on crunchy leaves. Beautiful table, rich warm inviting. I could just imagine a creamy pumpkin soup in those adorable bowls. xo
Beautiful, mellow fall colors. They make me feel like we are just slowly slipping into fal.

Your place settings are so very enchanting. I love reading your blog! :)
I too love the sound of leaves blowing down the street or in the yard! It is one of natures most beautiful sounds! Beautiful tablescape!
Oh I love the pumpkin bowls. Lovely as always.
I love Fall & I love the crunching sound that leaves make when you walk on them.
Fantastic tablescape! It's has such warmth to it.
Love the hues in your scape. I also love how you captured the glow in your photographs. Very nice...
Hi Tablescaper!
I love your white pumpkins. They really glow against the dishes. I can just hear the rustling leave in the background!
Gorgeous! The color combination, dishes, glassware, flatware linens...all fabulous!
I just scrolled through this three times. I loved the details. So much white and brown and yet SO MUCH variety. I loved the little corn husk pumpkins.
And I love the sound of rustling leaves too!
Beautiful dishes and I love the color scheme!
The crunch of leaves under foot and the aromas of Autumn in the air...smoke beginning to furl from neighborhood chimneys and the slightest kiss of chilled moisture on the face ...indescribably ...amazingly ...magnificent. Dang, I want those individual pumpkin ramekins! There...I said it...pure unadulterated want. Thanks for sharing your beautiful design. Cherry Kay
Yummy colors! I love that your table is next to the window. Those ceramic pumpkins are the star of the show! Lovely cloth too!
The brown and cream colors are so beautiful for fall. I also love the soup bowls, you got great deals!! I saw those stems online at Horchow, but never saw them on sale!! What about those cute little acorns?? I haven't seen them anywhere. Our leaves are late falling because of all the rain. You've done it again, another beautiful tablescape!!!
I find that the sound of leaves makes me feel sad. I immediately start to miss the sun, green, flowers, drinks on the deck, etc. Once the temps catch up with the look of falling leaves, I can get into fall. Such a great table. Love the pumkins. Dianne
Really, really pretty! I will take the pumpkins if you ever get tired of them.
I love your tablescape! Would you mind telling me where you got your tablecloth?

I am going to have to Google it. I am hearing about all these places that I've never heard of before...it's wild!!! Beautiful table with fabulous bargain prices to boot....can't beat it! I LOVE those brown goblets, too. You could drink mud out of those bad boys and it would taste good!!! :-) Have a great night...oh, man...it's 10:30. I'm goin' to bed! Have a good one!
Oooohhh, I just love this 'scape! The browns and creams together are so soothing and the warm candle glow you have captured in your pictures makes me long to sit at that table! This is indeed a nice change from the usual oranges and reds one associates with fall leaves. No wonder everyone asks about "the pumpkin tureens" - they are gorgeous!

This is a beautiful table, A! Brown and creamy white are great for this time of year. Those mini lidded pumpkin tureens are so pretty, wish we had a CTS nearby...maybe it is a good thing we don't, come to think of it! Next time I go home I am making it a priority to stop at the one in Holyoke!
What a gorgeous tablescape! I love bargains & you find some great deals!!! The flatware is gorgeous...it really does look like wood.
I love fall as well -- we're getting a CTS here soon. Hope it doesn't get me in too much trouble. Love your creams and browns -- so beautifully set together.
As I was drooling (not a good look) over all your exquisite photographs I was wondering where does she find all this "stuff"?
Thanks so much for providing the legend at the end.
I really wish we had those types of stores with all those wonderful decorative items here in France.
Not to many leaves falling in my neck of the woods but soon they will.
