Welcome to the 50th Seasonal Sundays!
It’s my birthday and I thought what could be more perfect than to
share some greetings from the past.
Mind you, these are not greetings to me.
No, they date back much farther than my years.
Quite a number of years ago, I was in my parents’ attic and came
upon this old, dusty box of vintage post cards.
It was filled with all sorts, not just birthday ones, but since it’s my
birthday I thought it would be fun to share those with you today.
I have not purchased any of these. Each and every one are from a
distant cousin, Norine. Let’s see, if I do my genealogy correctly – I
think she was my grandfather’s first cousin, so that would make her
my first cousin twice removed. Yes? Anyone out that’s a genealogy
whiz, please feel free to correct me.
One of the oldest dates back to 1907 .![]()
And the most recent dates 1919.![]()
This one is from my grandfather, Harry – the birthday girl’s first cousin.![]()
Interesting choice of a birthday greeting from “Mother”…
This one was from her brother, Eddie.
It seems almost impossible to me that my second blog-aversary is quickly approaching. To celebrate my first blog-aversary, I hosted a party entitled “Where do you keep it all?”. It was a huge success and is by far my most visited post. In celebration of my second blog-aversary I will be hosting “Where do you keep it all? – Part 2” on Sunday, June 5th.

Now don’t be intimidated. It doesn’t have to be pretty or perfect. But please do share. I don’t think there’s a single one of us out there that collect and have the issue of storage under control. That’s the problem with collecting. Just when you have it all away, you find a new treasure. But isn’t that part of the fun of collecting?!?! So, grab the button above and put your thinking cap on. What would you like to share?

Hope your birthday is wonderful! Love your vintage greetings, I have some Christmas ones, but none were family keepsakes or treasures~
The fact that you have these cards is amazing. Not being a keeper, I'd have looked through them and thrown them away without thinking how special they were. Good for you for treasuring them. Enjoy your day in a special way.
Wishing you a very happy birthday!
I hope you have sunshine and gentle breezes and a fabulous dessert. And someone else does the dishes.

Be a sweetie,

Happy Birthday to a lovely and talented woman. I have come to just adore your blog....I always think of things I can use to tablescape when I am "out and about". It further justifies my dish collecting hobby. These cards are just treasures..I wish I could transport myself back to that simple time.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!
I hope you have a wonderful day filled with family and fun!!
I adore these sweet cards!! All so pretty!!
I think another" Where do you store it all " Is a great idea. Everyone asks me where do i store all my Christmas decorations and I was thinking of doing a post on it so this settles it!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Oh what treasures you found in your parent's attic all those years ago. She was so wise to keep them. I have a few old victorian postcards I've picked up here and there at flea markets, and a few my MIL has given to me through the years. They bring back a little of yesteryear! Thanks for sharing......
