For this week’s tablescape, I decided to incorporate a March theme.
This year, March…
…came in like a lamb, so we best be preparing for it to…
…go out like a lion.
Today’s lunch consisted of…
…butternut squash soup in my lion head bowls from Target and…
…a delicious salad with blue cheese, walnuts, and…
…thinly sliced pears.
Mini lion’s head bowls (also from Target) hold a few pieces of bread.
A glass of chardonnay completes the meal. I love how the wine
appears rose` with the reflection of the sofa.
The actual flatware (Ross Simon’s years ago) mimics the antique
flatware displayed on the tray.
The Bon Appetit plates are from Crate and Barrel.
s
The charger was from Christmas Tree Shop, the napkin ring from the Pottery Barn outlet and the cool tray was a gift from my brother Bill and sister-in-law Jean.
The Villeroy and Bach glass finished off the bistro look! Hope it’s a tame lion.
Have a wonderful week and be sure to come back and be a part of

Fun, great table! Lovin' the lion's head bowls! I'm hoping for a calm second half of March too:@)
You never cease to amaze me! Everything is always so beautful and you present it so nicely!
I always enjoy seeing the lion's head bowls. Love the bon appetit plates from C & B! I am hoping March calms down a bit. We had over 18" of snow on Monday!
I hope it gets warmer than it was today!
Very clever, lamb and lion's head bowls.
Love that napkin!
Great themed tablescape! Ilove the lion head bowls! I can't believe they came form Target. They are very upscale. Black and white looks so upscale... I did a black and white tablescape too!
I hope the lamb will turn up soon... it is freezing here!
Beautiful as usual!

Great idea with the lion and the lamb! Love your table!
March came in like a hyena around here. Don't know how else to express that! :-) What a pretty vignette with so many wonderful details! That salad looks like something out of a magazine...very appetizing! Love the napkin ring! I hope the remainder of your month is peaceful and quiet like a lamb...or the tame lion you refer to!
Great theme table! I always enjoy seeing that flatware... :-)
Beautiful!! I had no idea Tarjay had those bowls!
Great looking table!
Those bowls are adorable, wish I'd seen them at Target! And I love the bit of glitter on the lions. Your photography is truly amazing. This was such a neat idea, so creative and beautiful. Loved it all!! We are still hoping the lamb will be here soon. Until then, stay warm and dry!!
I really enjoyed your theme and your table!
Oh man...I used to order a great tomato bisque in a restaurant that used those lions head individual soups, and I always thought that they would be so great to have...I had no idea that they were available at Target! Am I too late to even go look? I'll give it a try anyway. The china lamb is so special. As always, I love every single element in your tablescape. Thank you for sharing your wonderful design. Cherry Kay
Too funny, we used the same plates and a soup for lunch this week. I love your theme what a great way to compliment your table. Thanks so much for sharing.
A beautiful table and the lunch looks pretty yummy too! I won't share our So Cal weather with you! lol Let's just say I was gazing (a few too many times) out of the office window today. I hope warm spring days are heading your way very soon! Mrs. S
The March wind has been roaring here. Fun table and I'd love to be sitting down to that soup and salad for dinner tonight. You are serving one of my favorite salads. ~ Sarah

But nonetheless, your tablescape will fit either way! How cute is that lamb?

You are so creative in every way! I adore the "lamb and lion" theme for your tablescape......great idea! The lion soup bowls are just darling, and would such fun to use. Thanks for sharing your deliciously served lunch with us.
Oh, that looks delicious!! Your lion and lamb theme is lovely and creative and the black and white color way is so unexpected. Great tablescape. Have a nice Friday.
Great table and yummy! It made me want to have that soup in the little lion heads bowls, I bought those in my local supermarket years ago, for $1 each so I have 12... and we adore tomato soup with a hot cheese sandwich! Your Bon Appetit plates are great with the bowls.
Beautiful as usual! Have a nice weekend.
