Before school was out, I had the wonderful opportunity to enjoy a lovely ladies luncheon with some of my closest friends.
This was my inspiration shot. I had never used this tablecloth and had been wanting to. I also wanted to use the asparagus plates – the colors were perfect. The bit of sheer green seemed to add to the atmosphere I was seeking to create.
This was the end result.
Please join me. Take a napkin (napkins are from April Cornell and napkin rings were from Christmas Tree Shop, ages ago).
Let’s start with a cup of Asparagus Shallot Soup.
Not too much, just a little taste (soup cups and saucers are from Christmas Tree Shop).
Hmm…where should we start?
Well, take a plate.
I love these plates, the color, the detail, the texture. They’re also from April Cornell.
And you’ll need a fork too.
Would you care for …
…a bruschetta?
An asparagus wrapped in prosciutto?
A nice big bunch of alstroemeria graces the table.
A roasted round of zucchini? And a cracker upon which to spread…
…some cheese torte.
The Thai Shrimp Gyoza are a delicious change, don’t forget a bit of sauce.
I do hope you enjoyed yourself.
Here’s a little treat on your way out (a lagniappe to those in the South).
It was such a pleasure to have you. Come again soon!
