Although this it doesn’t have a single speck of candy in it, this tablescape makes one think of yummy confections.

… and fondants.

A wondrous sweet treat for your eyes.

It conjures up visions…

…of an Easter basket…

…overflowing with sweet…

…mouth watering…

treats!

The tiny beads on this runner could easily be little tiny candies…

…bright and early on Easter morn.

Easter Around the House

Welcome. Do come in.

We’re getting ready for Easter.

As you pass through the entryway…

…do be sure to help yourself …
…to a couple of candy corn.

A few friends hopped by and…

… set themselves upon the mantel in the living room.

A quick stop by Mr. and Mrs. Bunny perched by the dining room window.

I guess they’re minding the chicks.

Don’t you wish he was all chocolate, but he’s just pretend! I’m sure the Easter Bunny will be stopping by and delivering some real chocolate bunnies very soon.

Petal Pink Easter

Allow this little nest of a salad to awaken your spirits …

…with signs of renewal and hope.

This tablescape brings forth the soft touches of Spring and Easter.



The light softly plays off the curves of the hurricanes…

… and the cuts of the crystal.

A simple nest, a sign of hope.

Allow your eyes to be mesmerized and cradled by the soft shades of white of each layer of plate: an unmarked salad cabbage plate, a dinner plate with olive and their branches wrapping around the plate, a charger with embossed swags circling the edge.

Loose yourself in a sea of softness and elegance of  pearl handled knives (purchased by my Grandmom Lillian as antiques many long years ago.)

The pink is so soft…

…it should color the inside of this little bunny's ears.

Or the ears of this little bunny (hopping across the Venetian lace table cloth that I inherited from my Mother-in-law.)

It is time for the season of renewal…

…to begin.

St. Paddy’s Day Party

I’m so happy to be joining in Cuisine Kathleen’s St. Patrick’s Day Crawl. Stop over and join in the celebration!
I’m also participating in Susan of Between Naps on the Porch’s Tablescape Thursday. Stop over there for more table tops.

It’s St. Paddy’s day!

And just for today…

…everyone is pulling out the green.

We’re all a bit Irish today!

Neither my husband, nor I, are the least bit Irish, but I’ve got plates that say Happy St. Patrick’s Day!

But the table is set…

…and we’ll join the party.

The castles of Ireland salt and pepper shakers are from The Christmas Tree Shop, several years ago. As are the napkins.

Don’t quite remember where the leprechaun's hat hailed from. Napkin rings are from Lillian Vernon, a few years back.


The green polka dot “runners” are actually window valances.

The spreaders, with varying Celtic motifs, are another Christmas Tree Shop purchase.

Polka dot vase and green wine glasses were dollar store finds. The dinner plates are Gibson. The cake plates were from Home Goods. The Celtic lidded bowls were Christmas Tree Shop. Round green rug mats from Walmart at Christmas time.

Spring Sunshine with April Cornell

Welcome to another wonderful week of tablescaping with our host Susan, of Between Naps on the Porch.

Today’s tablescape was inspired by a wonderful package that I received in the mail, courtesy of April Cornell.
April sent me these beautiful linens from her Spring collection, Chelsea. You can click here to view the collection on line.

April’s linens made me thing of the wonderful Spring sunshine we’ve been experiencing (and it technically isn’t even Spring yet!). You can just feel the warmth!

I laid the breakfast cloth caddy corner across the table and then highlighted each place setting with it’s own coordinating placemat.

The top layer are my Bordallo Pinheiro lily pad salad plates.

The next layer are my Bordallo Pinheiro cabbage plates.  The rattan chargers were a gift from my good friend and fellow dish-a-holic, Barbara. Believe it or not, she got them at Rite-Aid this past summer! The Gourmet Settings flatware lent just the right texture.

The water and wine goblets are Emerald Glamour by Luminarc.

The small serving pieces take center stage when clustered on a rattan tray. The little footed cabbage plate is another Bordallo Pinheiro. The creamer creamer and sugar are by Style-Eyes.

A footed cake plate repeating the lily pad pattern.

An incredible lidded cabbage, another Barbara gift, also by Bordallo Pinheiro.

The cut crystal hurricanes add the finish touch. They were a fabulous find from HomeGoods.
